A lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulraheem Olajide Jimoh has described the recent happenings in the National Assembly as unfortunate and dramatic, insisted that more of political gymnastic would be witnessed soon.

He disclosed this on a television programme tagged, Politics Today in Lagos while reacting to the recent incident at National Assembly and wave of defection in the country.

According to him, “you will see more of political gymnastic very soon. Nobody thought Senator Godswill Akpabio would have come by now; a lot of things will have to follow. Anytime from now, another drama will still come up.

While reacting further, Honourable Jimoh stressed that the action by the DSS was an unfortunate situation but saluted the courage of the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo for the decision taken, saying this cleared the air on whatever questions on the blockage of the National Assembly entrance by the security agents.

It would be recalled that Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) blocked the National Assembly gate on Tuesday which disrupted the meeting scheduled by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki with some members. This action led to the sack of DSS boss, Lawal Daura.

Meanwhile, while Hon. Jimoh debunked the rumour over the removal of Senate President, Bukola Saraki by members of All Progressive Party (APC) in the red Chamber, he also condemned Saraki’s visit to former military head of State, Gen. Ibrahim Babaginda at Minna after addressing press briefing.
