The All Progressives Congress in the United Kingdom has urged the declared winner in governorship tussle in Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodinma to be very conversant and administer his state with the fear of God as he’s sworn-in as the Governor of the State.
The call was contained in a release made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja earlier today. The statement which was jointly signed by the leader of the APC UK, Prince Ade Omole and the Publicity Secretary, Mr Jacob Ogunseye described the landmark victory as God ordained one and urge Sen. Uzodinma to govern with fear of God at the centre of his heart.
“Your declaration as the governor of Imo State by the Supreme Court should have shown you that you are destined for a purpose. We want you to ignore the past and move swiftly through the provision of the dividend of democracy which has been eluding the state in the last few months”.
“It is time to bring our party under a stronger umbrella in the state for repositioning. Your declaration has further strengthened this belief and we urge you to extend the right hand of fellowship to members who have supported the party from the beginning to offer progressive governance to the people of your state.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday annulled the election of Emeka Ihedioha and asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately issue a certificate of return to Senator Uzodinma.
