A federal lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency, Hon. Olajide Jimoh has said the collapse of a three-storey building in Itafaji area of Lagos Island is a disheartening incident that needs Lagosians’ prayers and support.
He disclosed this in a statement released by his media office while commending the prompt response by the Lagos state rescue team,he also urged them to intensify efforts to rescue the remaining victims.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families that lost their loved ones.God will comfort and fill the emptiness in their hearts. May the souls of the children who lost their lives in the collapsed building rest in peace, he said
He further said that residents in the affected area should corporate with LASEMA and other security agents on ground to hasten the recovery of those still trapped. “Lagosians should spend time to pray for the children and families involved in the collapse.
