N34bn Fraud: Former Commissioner Indicted In Rivers State

Rivers State Government says it would prosecute those involved in the embezzlement of funds at the state-owned Integrated Medical Industries Limited for the manufacturing of Auto Syringes.

Governor Nyesom Wike had set up Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate alleged thirty four billion naira fraud at the syringe factory

Addressing Journalists at the end of the State Executive Council meeting, Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of Rivers State, Mr Zaccheaus Adangor said key persons, including the former Commissioner of Health was indicted by the commission.

Also briefing Journalists on the outcome of the disbursement of traders and entrepreneur free interest loan by the Rivers State Government, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs, Mr Eme Glory-Eme said twelve local Government Areas out of the twenty three Local Government Areas in the state have benefited in the scheme.
