Governor Willie Obiano is to invite President Mohammadu Buhari to commission the completed Ziks Mausoleum at Inosi Onira, Onitsha, residence of the first President of Nigeria, late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.
The Governor gave the hint during an inspection visit to the Mausoleum as well as inspection of ongoing construction at the Second Niger Bridge, Onitsha.
The Ziks Mausoleum houses halls, museum and archives, conference halls, library, video display room, among others.
Expressing satisfaction with the quality of work done on the facility, Governor Obiano said that it is a plus to President Buhari’s administration, as the project has been abandoned for the past twenty-three years, noting that the building is yet to be equipped with furniture and necessary artefacts, which should be done to further enrich its value.
The Governor who emphasized the importance of the project to the people of the South East, Nigeria and the African Continent, stated that he will inform the President of his visit to the site and invite him afterwards to commission the facility which he said is his legacy project.
On a similar development, Governor Obiano also paid an inspection visit to the Second Niger Bridge.
