A federal high court seating in Jalingo, Taraba, has summoned the APC gubernatorial candidate in the state, Alhaji Sani Danladi, to appear before it to answer corruption charges filed by the EFCC.
Alhaji Sani, who is the incumbent deputy governor, a former minister of Labour and productivity, Mark Bako Useni as well as Sen. Joel Ikenya are been prosecuted by the EFCC for conspiracy and violation of financial regulations.
Preceding judge, justice Steven Pam, berated the APC candidate for failing to appear in person.
Counsel for EFCC Bar. Ahamad Muntaka had applied for a summon for Alhaji Sani, for the case to continue.
He insisted that if he (Sani) refused to appear on the adjourned date, the commission would apply for his arrest,
Justice Pam directed that Alh. Sani appear on 5th December..
The 3 suspects are being accused by the EFCC of illegally collecting of N450million during the 2015 presidential campaign.
